Barb Jay has a love for learning and a passion for educating Manual Therapists from all walks of life. Barb has been educating massage therapists for the past 19 years and it is evident in her knowledge and delivery of the material.
Barb’s passion for all things related to education, massage and healing comes through in her teaching. Barb had the pleasure of experiencing cupping therapy for the first time in 2016 after her interest was peaked following the 2016 Olympics. Following her first treatment Barb could not believe the decrease in pain and restrictions she experienced along with the increase in shoulder range of motion. Since that time Barb has been incorporating cupping therapy into her treatments on a daily basis and is commonly astounded with the results she is obtaining with her patients and best of all the techniques are very easy on her body which is important after practicing for 20 years.
Recently, Barb found herself integrating cupping even more into her treatments as she returned to work from a 5 month medical leave. Barb found it very reassuring to know that she had a technique in her ‘toolbox’ that was effective on the lymphatic, circulatory and fascial systems of the body while being gentle on her body. Barb finds that the more she integrates cupping into her treatments the more her patients request it!!
